FLORAL PARK FIRE DEPARTMENT

The Floral Park Fire Department has been serving our neighbors with pride since 1893.  The membership is 100% Volunteer, comprised of men and women who dedicate their time to serve the community.  

The Department consists of five companies which occupy 3 firehouses. The Hook and Ladder Company, Alert Engine Company and The Rescue Company are stationed at headquarters on Vernon Blvd.  The Active Engine Company is located on Atlantic Ave and The Reliance Engine Company is located on Holland Ave.

Our call volume averages around 1400 calls a year, covering any emergency that our residents encounter including, but not limited to medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, carbon monoxide alarms, automatic alarms and fires.  

Each member participates in training throughout the year which is done in our training center, firehouses and around the neighborhood.  The department does all live fire training out at the FIre Academy in Bethpage.  This training center has buildings that resemble our homes and businesses here in town.  Live fire training is a serious endeavor and equips the department with skills and experience for when a fire in the community breaks out..
